My kids were so excited today to see the UPS guy hand us a package containing the newest video from Dinosaur Train called: Dinosaur Train: Submarine Adventure!  What fantastic timing too as we were planning an evening indoors as a family. The kids LOVED helping mom review this fun new Dinosaur Train video on dvd!

My 6 year old daughter thought the show was totally cute. She gets a kick out of the theme song with the dinosaur hatching out of the egg in the Pteronadon nest, but he isn't really a Pteronadon at all - yet momma Pteronadon takes him in as her own just the same. In this dvd, my daughter liked learning about fish in the ocean that lived long ago. She was sad when the dvd was over. She said she really wanted to see more of it! Both my kids insisted I start the dvd all over again once it was over - they enjoyed it that much! They were fascinated with the submarine scenes as an underwater Dinosaur Train. :) The fact that all the dinosaurs talk is always a hit with younger kids ages 2-7.

My 2 year old son had a great time watching this serious of episodes on dvd. He particularly likes the conductor dinosaur. He kept saying, "bubbles" whenever they were underwater too. Fun age to observe watching shows and playing with all their vocabulary popping out. He would get excited about certain parts of the show and repeat certain words the characters said - like an echo or a parrot. Too cute! I think he really likes Dinosaur Train!

Both my kids stayed very engaged and glued to the TV while Dinosaur Train: Submarine Adventure was playing. It is light-hearted and fun-loving in its approach during the shows, and makes for a colorful and pleasant learning experience. I'm a big fan of educational dvds, and during this show the kids learn about many different things. Here is a list of just a few: submarines, dinosaurs that lived in the ocean, sea turtles, the differences in various species in how they handle raising their young, and of course some childhood friendship skills. My children really enjoyed it. Giggles bursting out at times too! I give Dinosaur Train: Submarine Adventure dvd 5/5 stars!
